Gas Check

It is advisable that all gas appliances within the home are safety checked on an annual basis by a Gas Safe Registered engineer.

Landlords are legally responsible to maintain appliances and pipe work provided to tenants. A gas safety check must be carried out on rental properties every 12 months by a Gas Safe Registered engineer. 

Landlords must also keep records of the safety check for at least two years and issue a copy to each existing tenant within 28 days of the check being completed and issue a copy to each new tenant before they move in.
